Our Activities
Namibia faces significant challenges like high poverty and inequality, where approximately 28.7% of the population is living in poverty and 15% in extreme poverty. Poverty is most prevalent in rural areas (37%) compared to urban centers (15%), and disproportionately affects women (32%) more than men (26%). Child poverty remains a critical concern, with over 30% of children experiencing multidimensional poverty.

In response, the Efese Gospel Mission Church Namibia, supported by its soup kitchens across the country—including those in Windhoek, Rehoboth Church (Old Age Home), and Keetmanshoop—are actively working to combat hunger. These soup kitchens not only provide nourishing meals, but also share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, instilling hope and community spirit.

Furthermore, the Efese Gospel Mission Church Namibia and Simunye Youth Development Empowerment Welfare Organization W/O234, efforts are underway to reduce poverty by sharing a meal weekly, emphasizing the belief that "to go far, we go together." This initiative relies heavily on donations from companies, organizations, and individuals committed to making a difference.

Together, we can build hope, nourish lives, and create a brighter future for Namibia.
